How To Enable Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) In Windows 10 Home Edition?

Install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 If Not Installed

 

 

First of all, You need to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. I recommend you to read-through or watch my previous tutorial that I had created on the installation process of Microsoft.Net framework 3.5. As installing it not an easy job.

Download GPEDIT.msc

 

 

Here I assume You have installed it and proceed towards the next part of today’s video. Please download a tiny utility named Add GPEDIT.msc from here.

 

 

Extract GPEDIT.msc

 

 

Now extract it after having downloaded this tiny utility.

 

 

How To Install Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) In Windows 10 Home?

 

 

You will find a setup file after having extracted it. Double click on it to kick start the installation.

 

After having installed it, Go to partition C.

 

Open up Windows folder.

 

Syswow64

 

Here you will find GroupPolicy and GroupPolicyUsers folders. Copy both folders and click back button.

 

Search for system 32 folder and paste folders  inside system32 folder, you have copied from Sys wow 64 folder earlier.

 

Click continue.

 

Congratulation, All the process is done. You can now use the Group policy editor or GpEdit. To access Group Policy Editor, You will have to go to syswow64 folder.
